What you need for your Christmas tiered tray

To create your very own Christmas tiered tray, you need a tiered tray and items to decorate it. We will be using the tiered tray essentials and the Christmas tiered tray cutouts.

To make it super easy, I’ve put all the items you need to make this project into one simple kit. It includes the tiered tray, the essentials, and the cutouts along with the coordinating transfers and paste. So, click on the button to order your kit, and then get ready to get your tinsel-filled crafty side making some merry items!

Step by Step guide making a Christmas tiered tray

Once your supplies have arrived, you’ll want to gather these extra supplies to help with your chalk project.

Let’s start with the tiered tray. You will want to chalk the design on the bottom of the tray before you put it together. However, you may want to keep the bottom of the tray neutral if you are going to use it all year. You could use the tiered tray transfer, just use a paste color in gray or black. This way it will transition through other seasons. You may choose to leave the tray plain also.

Once you have the pieces chalked, put your tiered tray together. It’s fairly simple to assemble.

Next, let’s chalk the Christmas tray shapes using the tiered tray cutouts and the tiered tray – Christmas cutouts transfer. The paste pallet gives you several different color options, so choose what you love & go for it.

Once you’ve chalked your shapes, set them aside to dry and get your tiered tray essentials and the tiered tray – Christmas transfer. There are LOTS of different options with this transfer, so play around and see what you like best. I really like how the faux books are painted red (you can use chalk paste or craft paint to paint them a different color).

Now you are ready to style your tray. Don’t forget to add additional items, like farmhouse beads. This article about tiered trays might also be helpful as you are working to complete yours.

Helpful tips to make your chalk couture Christmas tiered tray look its best.

When it comes to decorating for the holidays, a tiered tray can be a show-stopper. But if you’ve never decorated one before, it can be a bit daunting. Here are some helpful tips for creating a beautiful Chalk Couture Christmas tiered tray that will impress your guests.

When selecting items to place on your tray, think about varying the heights of the items to create interest. And don’t be afraid to mix things up – use both store-bought and homemade items, as well as greenery, to give your tray a unique look.

To get started, gather all of the items you want to use and arrange them on the tray according to height. Once you’re happy with the arrangement, think about adding a strand of fairy lights to give it a little glow. Perhaps a candle on the top, just make sure it is safely away from anything else.
