Tips and Tricks for Creating your Hop to it Kit

  • Gather all your necessary supplies before you begin, including cleaning supplies
  • After you’ve chalked your rabbits, be sure to wash your transfers following these instructions
  • Painting beads can be tricky right? I find putting them on a wood skewer to dry helps. You can find wooden skewers at the dollar store.
  • Put the paste in a zip-top bag with a couple of spritzes of water (to make your paste more of a paint consistency) and drop in your beads. Seal the bags and shake the beads to completely coat them in paint. Use a wooden skewer to remove them and prop the skewer between 2 cans or glasses to dry.
  • You’ll find more tips for making your wood bead garland here.
  • When stringing your beads, wrap a piece of masking tape around the end of the string so it fits through the bead hole easily.
  • When making your tassel. Put one end of the loop through a pen or pencil to keep the loop while you tie it and trim it. (See link above – wood bead garland – for photos of the process)
